If you qualify for VA health care, you can get high-quality mental health services as part of your benefits. You may also be able to get care for certain mental health problems even if you don't have VA health care.
About the Program
Our Mental Health Program provides treatment for mental, emotional and substance abuse issues in inpatient, outpatient and residential settings. Primary medicine services are also provided to veterans receiving care in these settings.
Mental Health Care Programs
Acute Inpatient Treatment
This unit provides inpatient treatment for Veterans whose mental health conditions have worsened significantly or Veterans with substance abuse disorders who need detoxification.

Residential Treatment Program
This program provides residential treatment for mental health or substance use disorders, or a combination of both. Individualized treatment includes comprehensive education and therapy for:

Mental Health and Substance Use Care - For individuals suffering from both mental health & substance use disorders.
- Mental Health or Substance Use Care - For individuals suffering from either a mental health disorder or a substance use disorder, but not both.
- Treatment in these programs is designed for the needs of each individual patient. Patients participate in both group and individual settings. Because treatment is individualized for each Veteran, the length of treatment may vary.
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Treatment - This trauma recovery program of education, group and individual therapy assists Veterans who suffer from PTSD in improving their quality of life. It teaches new ways to function and to reduce the negative effects of PTSD.
- The Independent Living Skills Program helps Veterans with mental health, substance abuse/dependence, employment disability and housing issues to return to a new level of independent functioning.

Mental Health Clinic follow-up appointments.

Community housing placement assistance.

Domiciliary care - time-limited stay.

Evening substance abuse aftercare and follow-up groups.

Vocational Rehabilitation Services.

Transitional work experience - Veterans work in the community on a VA contract with the employer.

Supported employment - Veterans work for a community employer and have VA coaching and support.
