The St. Cloud VA Health Care System (VAHCS) is a newly funded program , and is not yet accredited by the Commission on Accreditation (CoA) of the American Psychological Association (APA). The program has registered with the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) in the capacity of non-member status, and has recently applied for APPIC membership. Prior to APA accreditation, graduates of this VA internship are eligible to apply for APA-approved postdoctoral fellowship positions or jobs within VA.
The predoctoral internship at St. Cloud VAHCS offers internships to US citizens who are pursuing a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited institution. Applicants must demonstrate completion of at least 3 years of graduate coursework and a minimum of 250 direct contact hours of supervised graduate level pre-internship practicum experience. Applicants must have completed their comprehensive examinations, proposed their dissertations (or equivalent), and be certified as ready for internship by their Director of Training.

Responding to a Job Announcement
Be sure to follow the application instructions given in the job announcement. They are your primary guide for responding to a posted opening. Here are additional reminders for submitting an application:
